We're based in Volcano, Hawaii roughly 10 months of the year, but travel to the West Coast (California, Oregon, and Washington) and the Mountain West (Utah, Colorado, Arizona, & Idaho) for events several times a year. We're also available to travel to any of your dream wedding locations. Being in Hawaii makes travel to Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the West Coast of North America surprisingly easy.
Hawaii Destination Weddings
Hawaii offers gorgeous beaches, jungles, waterfalls, and world-class resorts for fabulous destination weddings. Travel to any of the main Hawaiian Islands (Hawai'i, Maui, O'ahu, Lana'i, & Kaua'i) is included in any of our packages! However, we offer a $200 discount for weddings on the Big Island as a thank you for letting us sleep in our own bed.

Your Wedding Destination Photographers
Victoria Felt earned her BFA in photography at the University of North Texas, where she documented the work of avian field scientists. That work led her to a job working with plants and wildlife at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah, where Victoria began her love affair with the deserts of Southern Utah. She has also worked in an educational role for the Bureau of Land Management, working with kids and answering questions about dinosaur fossils.
Joe Felt grew up in Utah, backpacking, snowboarding, rafting, and mountain biking in the mountains. He learned his backcountry skills attending an outdoor public high school program.
Joe started helping Victoria in 2016 when she needed a photography assistant. Joe was ordained as a Minster of Spiritual Humanism in 2010. When one of Victoria's elopement couples was looking for a bilingual Spanish-English officiant, she volunteered Joe. He’s been officiating for many of the couples Victoria works with since then. When he’s not officiating weddings, he’s a second-grade dual-immersion teacher, teaching in Spanish all day.
Joe and Victoria’s elopement experience began with their own marriage. They eloped in 2013 at the Sundance Owl Bar on a beautiful spring night in their favorite part of the Wasatch Mountain Range. Five close friends attended their celebration, which included a live band, some great beer, and breathtaking mountain scenery. (They held an outdoor reception for family and friends several months later at a campground not far from where they were married.)
Knots in the Pines prints gorgeous, long-lasting, archival photos but also works with several labs that link directly to your wedding gallery if you prefer to work with someone else for prints. You're also welcome to print the images yourself or at any printshop you prefer.
